Sustainability

Materials

All Sunshine Living fabrics are carefully selected and chosen from a range of eco-friendly/ sustainable materials. Check out the list below to learn a little more about what I use.

GOT certified organic cotton

Sunshine Living began as a solely organic cotton loungewear brand, so this fabric holds a special place in my heart. To ensure the fabric you're buying is 100% organic cotton, you have to ensure it has been GOT certified.

GOTS is the leading textile processing standard for organic fibres. When they certify to the GOTS standard, they check every step of the supply chain, from harvesting through production, processing, manufacturing and labelling. They also consider the environmental management and social responsibility of producers. GOTS is the gold standard for sustainable processing of textiles made from organically grown fibres.

All the organic cotton I use is GOT certified. This does not mean my company is a GOT certified business, but the fabric I use certainly is.

Ethically Produced Casual Wear

Sunshine Living is run by me, Sakara, and I hand make your clothing once your order is placed.

Working on a made to order basis, means I don't create masses of excess stock, and use up every single bit of fabric I buy. I can also guarantee that your clothing is not being made in any factories with bad working conditions. Follow Sunshine Living on Instagram, where I often post behind the scenes videos, on my stories of me sewing up your orders each day. Read more about me, and Sunshine Living on the About page.
